OUR SPEAKER
Michael Cooper
Michael lives in Wellington with his wife, Libby, and their two kids. He currently works in commercial banking, but recently he accepted a role at his church as Associate Pastor alongside Libby which they'll be starting soon. Michael loves going for a run, enjoys good coffee, and is passionate about helping people follow Jesus wholeheartedly. We are so excited to have Michael as our speaker for camp this year!
What is Word of Life Camp?
Word of Life Camp happens every Labour Weekend at Finlay Park, and it is a weekend like no other! Throughout these epic four days, there is a themed storyline, competition, wide games, and heaps of fun. Our focus is to create the space for young people to encounter the Gospel, grow in their youth communities, hear teaching from the Word of God, and ultimately to grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus.
MAIN SESSIONSEvery day we gather for exciting and creative sessions full of worship and biblical teaching, aimed to challenge and encourage young people in their faith!
TEAMSCampers are split into 8 teams to battle it out over the course of the weekend in epic challenges and activities!
SMALL GROUPSAfter the main sessions we have time for youth groups to discuss what they’ve heard, spend time in God’s word and pray together.
ELECTIVESYouth will get to choose between a bunch of awesome sessions filled with biblical teaching that is relevant to them and what they are going through.
Youth Leaders
If you are a youth leader interested in bringing your youth group along to Word of Life Camp, this information is for you. Read about our heart and vision for Word of Life Camp, and what you will need to know to best prepare for camp.
If you are age 17-21 and want to serve for the weekend to make our campers experience awesome, while growing in your own relationship with Christ, this programme is set up just for you.
