We are excited to partner with you as youth leaders for Word of Life Camp! This page should have all the information you need; our heart for camp, how to come prepared as a leadership team, and the logistics that will make bringing your youth along as easy as possible. We are excited to see how God will work through this weekend, and our desire is for that to happen individually in the lives of young people and also collectively in entire communities of young people.
Our heart is to see communities strengthened spiritually through camp so that young people are praying for one another, encouraging one another, and spurring each other on throughout the weeks and months following camp.
What's changed?
Camp will look a little different from now on. Our desire is to help build a closer community within your youth group that lasts beyond camp. We know that there is power in this, and so to help see it achieved, we have made changes to the usual camp programme you will be used to. We want to provide more time for your youth group to be together, so this has included:
- bringing in volunteers to do duties instead of youth
- extra slots for free time
- a cafe open throughout each day
- the introduction of small groups after each session
Our goal with small groups is to provide space for deeper spiritual conversations, connections between youth and leaders, and reflection on what has been said in the sessions. We will be intentional to help you best prepare your leaders for these times. Ideally, we would hope for the majority of your leadership team to be at camp for these times, but if you are short on leaders then let us know – we have a few options so that these times can still be effective for your group!

Gospel Centered
We promise that every youth who comes to camp will hear a clear message of Jesus’ love for them, His death in their place and resurrection from the dead. We want the message of the cross to be central in every session, elective, and worship time, so that it may impact both unbelievers and followers of Jesus. Our desire is that youth will see that an event 2000 years ago has the greatest significance for their lives today.
Strengthening Believers
We long to see Christian young people growing in their faith. We want to see youth grow closer to God, understanding more of who He is, and being convicted, encouraged and spurred on in love and service to the Living God. To achieve this, the Word of God will be at the centre of our sessions, electives and small groups. We will have people teaching practical biblical principles to grow and strengthen young people in their faith.
Growing Youth Communities
'Let us consider how to stir one another up to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near.'
HEBREWS 10:24-25
